Preliminary model for hydrate formation and deposition in a gas-dominated pipeline
[摘要] A model for hydrate formation and deposition in gas pipelines under steady flow conditions is developed and implemented in a numerical code. A conceptual description of the relevant phenomena is presented first, followed by the main assumptions of the model and the set of equations used to describe the fundamental mechanisms. The model is validated against experimental data obtained using the Hytra flowloop to investigate the plugging properties of uninhibited and under-inhibited systems. Two fitting parameters have been introduced to match the gas consumption due to hydrate formation and the pressure drop across the flowloop.
