Modelling Practice Documentation - Geofabric 12/13 Deliverable 1.3 Report

[摘要] This document represents advice to the Bureau of Meteorology regarding the purpose and process of modelling Geofabric data products. This document complements more general modelling methodology outputs previously delivered, and directly addresses issues around the practical use of models prepared using best practices.The recommendations and options put forward represent the results of testing of approaches to using modelling and possible deployment of services by the Bureau. These services in many cases do not yet exist, so the advice is predicated on implementation of underlying infrastructure to support the use cases described.Where available, screen shots and URL examples are provided to illustrate the technical feasibility of the proposed methodology.The document is structured as follows:1. Introduction to the core concepts (working definitions and/or relevant aspects)2. A quick description of Use Cases – i.e. motivations for modelling3. An overview of a proposed methodology for creating and using models in a services infrastructure4. Description of key processes and components and the Use Cases they support5. Summary of recommendations
