Spatial Prioritisation of NRM Investment in the South West Slopes, Murray CMA, NSW

[摘要] This report documents the application of Multi Criteria Analysis methodology (MCA) for prioritising natural resource management investment across three themes: (a) Land, (b) Water, and (c) Biodiversity in the South West Slopes (SWS) region of Murray Catchment Area, New South Wales (Figure 1). The study extends and builds upon the methods from an earlier project undertaken for the West Hume area in south-eastern Murray Catchment Management Area (Hill et al 2006). The early study applied MCA methods but with a focus on revegetation to mitigate salinity and to achieve improvements in biodiversity. This study is conceptually different in that it identifies priority areas for three distinct NRM themes in the Murray CMA (Land, Water and Biodiversity) and pays limited attention to actual on-ground actions, but rather focuses on identifying high-priority locations.
