Climate change and invasive plants in South Australia

[摘要] This report examines the potential impact of climate change on weeds, of both agriculture and of the environment, in South Australia. The report reviews the literature on weeds, weed management and climate change. It shows the climate projections using the A1B scenario to 2080 for the climate of South Australia. To identify areas of biosecurity threat it matches the climate of South Australia, both for the recent past and for 2080, with regions of the world both for the recent past and 2080. The report includes 13 case studies of weeds modelled using the CLIMEX program to show areas suitable for growth of each weed, both based on recent climate and projected to 2080. Each of the 13 case studies includes a set of weed-specific recommendations.
