AWRA-R version 5.0 User Guide
[摘要] AWRA river (AWRA-R) is the river system component of the AWRA system, which was built as part of the “Water Information Research and Development Alliance (WIRADA)” between CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) and operationalised at the BoM for producing Australia’s national water assessments and water accounts. The research and development of AWRA-R model started in FY2011-12 and since then four different versions of AWRA-R (versions 3.0, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0) have been developed, tested and implemented until end of this financial year. The latest version (AWRA-R v5.0) has been operationalised at the BoM in March 2015.AWRA-R v5.0 modelling system has five core components. These are:3 calibration tools; AWRA-R simulation engine and AWRA-R operational system. The calibration tools are written using the coding language R. The irrigation calibration tool is used to optimise the irrigation model calibration parameters. Reach-by-Reach and System Calibration tools are used to optimise AWRA-R model calibration parameters (excluding irrigation model). Whereas, the simulation engine, which is written using the coding language C, uses the calibrated parameters for simulating model outputs. The calibration tools and the operational engine of AWRA-R run in the order of time series from upstream to downstream of a river system. The operational system, which is implemented on Delft FEWS platform, uses the simulation engine of AWRA-R. It runs on a day-by-day mode enabling to couple with AWRA-L model for operational run of the two models together. In addition, a benchmarking tool (R script) has been developed to produce two sets of benchmarking plots (for each modelled reach and region) for evaluation of the model performance against observations and remotely sensed data. This report describes how to use different components of AWRA-R v5.0 model to implement it in any river basin including data preparation, calibrations, simulation and benchmarking. The AWRA-R v5.0 Technical Report and AWRA-R v5.0 Calibration Tools should be used in conjunction of this report for complete understanding of theory, development and use including calibration, simulation and benchmarking of AWRA-R v5.0 model.
