Australia-Indonesia Centre Megatrends: ENERGY

[摘要] Potential megashocks varied betweenthe issues, but the most frequentlymentioned were climate changerelatedextreme events, politicaleconomy shocks (e.g. corruption,lobbying by powerful incumbentplayers, changing government andgovernment policies), food and oilprice shocks, novel technology shocks,geo-political security shocks (e.g.terrorism, cross-border disputes,refugees), nuclear energy disasters,and extended energy blackouts.Based on these shared issues anddrivers, four overlapping megatrendswere identified: ‘More affluent,more informed consumers’, ‘Greenenergy’s quiet take over’, ‘Increasingwindows of opportunity’, and‘Clashing interests and ideologies’.Using information and data suggestedby Cluster researchers during thehorizon scanning, combined witha literature review on the driversand issues identified, narrativeswere collated for each megatrend.These are summarised below
