Methodology for incorporation of extra hydrological response units (HRU's) in AWRA-L structure

[摘要] The current version of the AWRA-L model (v5.0) implemented across the Australian continent in FY 2015-2016 and operational on the Bureau system as AWRAMS has two hydrological responseunits (HRU’s). The CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology are currently increasing the number of hydrological response units from two (representing shallow and deep rooted vegetation) to five(representing shallow and deep rooted vegetation along with impervious areas, large water bodies and irrigated agricultural areas) to better represent the landscape dynamics within an AWRA grid.This technical document describes the methods used to model each of the three new HRU’s within AWRA-L. The method used to model each HRU is different due to differences in the dominanthydrological processes associated with the HRU.
