The carbon cycle and how we are changing it: Climate Change Science Information Paper

[摘要] Human activity is altering the global carbon cycle;Emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere from human activities exceed what natural sinks are able to remove;Global emissions of carbon dioxide from fossil fuel combustion and land use change in 2010 were 32% greater than in 1990.The atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide is now approximately 390 ppm; pre-industrially it was approximately 280 ppm.Higher concentrations of atmospheric greenhouse gases are leading to climate change and to acidification of the oceans.
