Western Australia's Weather and Climate: A Synthesis of Indian Ocean Climate Initiative Stage 3 Research

[摘要] This report provides a synthesis of the main research findings from Stage 3 of the Indian Ocean Climate Initiative (IOCI3). IOCI3 is a strategic program of research and information transfer to support government decision making. This document reports on four and half years of IOCI3 research with a technical synthesis and a summary for policymakers. It covers research on the changing climate of south-west and north-west Western Australia. Projections of future climate conditions are also provided, including those for average temperature and rainfall, and for extreme events including intense rainfall, hot spells and tropical cyclones.
