Eighth annual report of the Australian Bird-Banding Scheme, July 1961 to June 1962

[摘要] "During 1961-62, 43,269 birds of 326 species were banded and there were 7369 recoveries of 169 species, including 4285 individuals not previously recovered. Although the total number banded this year was 3000 below the previous year's total, there was an increase of nearly 2000 in the number of free-flying birds, a result that can be attributed to the growing number of mist-net operators; in fact, one-third of the total banded, 14,386, was caught by mist net." -- Summary, p.
