A report on IBES evaluation

[摘要] IBES is a summarisation tool which aims at helping users navigate and browse through information in large connected information spaces such as Wikipedia.Its goal is to provide information to users to enable them to decide whether a link is worth following or not, while the user is browsing (Paris and Wan, 2009). To this end, IBES produces a popup that is a preview of a linked page in the current reading context of the user. In the IBES evaluation, we wished to deploy the tool in order to collect usage data, feedback as comments and suggestions etc. In the evaluation on which we report here, we deployed the tool only internally within CSIRO.
