AEMO 100% Renewable Energy Study Geothermal Energy - Hot Sedimentary AquifersGeothermal Energy - Hot Dry Rock
[摘要] In July 2012, CSIRO was contracted by Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) to provide information on renewable energy supply and electricity generation opportunities for the East coast of Australia. CSIRO was asked by AEMO to investigate a subset of technologies, and AEMO contracted other organisations to investigate other technologies. The information supplied to AEMO will be used by AEMO as part of a "100% renewable supply" project that the Federal Government has requested AEMO to undertake. This report describes the geothermal resources in the study area, Two types of resources are considered - Hot Sedimentary Aquifer (HSA) and Hot Dry Rock resources. The combined maximum installable generating capacity is over 5,500 GWe.Hot Dry Rock resources exist in every polygon and HSA resources in 28 of the 43 polygons. The best HSA resources are coincident with the best Hot Dry Rock resources and are in areas with elevated geothermal gradients.Hourly renewable energy supply, normalised to 1 MW per polygon, is provided for the period 1 December 2000 to 1 July 2012 for both HSA and Hot Dry Rock resources. The hourly variation in plant output is a function of ambient temperature. The maximum variation is from about 0.7 MW to 1.25 MW.
