Communication and engagement around societal values and choices impacting on sustainability: participant summary

[摘要] The Integrated Carbon Pathways Project (ICP) broadly addresses the interconnected nature of various economic, social and biophysical dimensions, and how these complex interactions might impact on future sustainability. The purpose of this component (social choice) is to build and trial an effective process ofengagement, build understanding around social choice in sustainable options, and test the role of engagement in influencing societal choices over time. A workshop was held in Brisbane on Saturday April 6th, 2013. A total of 74 participants took part, split out into ten groups, each facilitated by a professional group facilitator. We usedQ methodology at both individual and group levels, a constrained choice model of communication to formally collect and compare a range of discourses on sustainability.
