13th Annual Protein Expression Workshop (PEWS): Post sponsorship evaluation form, Innovation and Technology Division

[摘要] The Protein Expression Workshop (PEWS) is well established annual event to bring professional from academia and industry together to facilitate scientific networking, studying the latest methods and views in protein production and to showcase the latest technologies via the participation of scientific supplier companies.As the workshop was successfully run in the last 12 years it become one of the premier forums in Australia focusing on the Victorian community.The workshop is underwritten by CSIRO but involves a wide range of other institutes and industrial participants. This is one the last scientific forums which is for non-profit and thus provides free entry to students and offers a minimal charge for professionals. To achieve this the workshop relies on sponsors: suppliers, DBI CSIRO and the Bio21 Cluster covers the cost.This year over 190 participants were registered, 26 seminars and 14 hands-on workshops were organised. Feedback was very positive both from participants and sponsors.The following report summarizes the program, outcomes and participants of the 13th PEWS in August 2012.
