Tables for age determination of the Kangaroo Island wallaby (tammar), Macropus eugenii, from body measurements

[摘要] "Over a period of some three decades the tammar, Macropus eugenii, has become accepted as the reference macropodoid species for comparative studies of reproduction, lactation and physiological development in mammals (Tyndale-Biscoe and Janssens, 1988). Such processes often require timing from birth, hence the need to rely on a means of estimating age of young.For tammars derived from Kangaroo I. stock, the following tables permit, over the first year of life, determination of age (days) from measurements of the lengths (mm) of head, leg, arm or foot." -- Introduction, p. 1.
