Application of remote sensing techniques to support delineation and characterisation of groundwater-dependent vegetation: Technical report
[摘要] The reported research is contributing to the project ‘Research to inform the assessment of ecohydrological responses to coal seam gas (CSG) extraction and coal mining’ funded by the Office of Water Science (Australian Government Department of the Environment) and particularly to ‘Component 1 – Eco-hydrology of groundwater-dependent terrestrial vegetation’, led by Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. The latter aims to understand the impacts of altered groundwater regimes on groundwater‐dependent vegetation (GDV) in different biophysical settings in order to inform investigations into environmental effects of the CSG and coal mining developments. CSIRO’s contribution to the project aims for GDV delineation and an analysis of its dependency on various elements of the water regime in selected areas of New South Wales and Queensland using remote sensing (RS) data.
