Bushfire Transitions Across Urban Boundaries

[摘要] Understanding the physical mechanisms by which bushfires burning through landscape vegetation (the ‘bush’) transition into urban areas and interact with people and their assets is essential to identifying the key steps to mitigating the impact of bushfire on lives and property in these areas. This project undertook statistical analyses of case studies of six historical fire events that were significant for their level of impact on lives and property and represented a range of predominant fuel and burning conditions.
