Forest change and water yield response: a statistical data integration analysis

[摘要] EXECUTIVE SUMMARYThis data integration activity has assembled and analysed forest and catchment data from the southwest region spanning nineteen years. It has developed and demonstrated a data integration approach for estimation and prediction of effects of forest density on runoff. The basis of the study has been statistical modelling applied to historical data over these multiple catchments. The results provide new information and tools to estimate effects of forest density on runoff and to predict changes in runoff associated with forest management and rainfall scenarios. The results are relevant to current policy issues in the region.
