A lithogeochemical study of the alteration zone at Currawang East, New South Wales
[摘要] “The Currawang East deposit is a currently subeconomic, Cu-Zn-Pb-Ag massive sulphide deposit hosted by the Silurian Currawang Basalt in the Captains Flat - Goulbourn [sic] synclinorium of the Lachlan Fold Belt. The geochemistry, dimensions and zonal properties of the alteration zone associated with the massive sulphides have been studied with the aid of 264 whole rock and trace element analyses; gains and losses during alteration have been quantified using Gresens general metasomatic equation whereby density and volume changes during alteration have been taken into account. Ti, V, Cr, Y and Zr have generally behaved in an immobile way as determined from clustering of their zero change volume factors; these elements have thus been used to constrain the volume change estimates.” -- Abstract, p. iv
