IMAGING TIME-OF-FLIGHT ION MASS SPECTROGRAPH

[摘要] This is the final report of a three-year, Laboratory-Directed Research and Development (LDRD) project at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The primary objective of this project was to develop and demonstrate a new type of time-of-flight mass spectrometer having a duty cycle of unity, which is a factor of 10{sup 3}-10{sup 4} better than conventional time-of-flight spectrometers. The spectrometer concept was demonstrated, and an additional pre-filtration technique was developed and demonstrated. The two techniques are patents pending.
