Isotropic trialitarian algebraic groups

[摘要] By modifying a construction from Knus ct al., we construct all isotropic algebraic groups of type D-3(4) and D-6(4) over an arbitrary field of characteristic not equal 2. We also provide a nice isomorphism criterion for such groups. The results of this paper extend the main results of Allison (using entirely different methods) to fields of nonzero characteristic and algebraic groups. (C) 1998 Academic Press.
