The crystal structure of Sr6Cu3N5 with isolated, bent ((Cu2N3)-N-I)(7-) and the single crystal structural determination of SrCuN

[摘要] Single crystals of the ternary nitrides Sr6Cu3N5 and SrCuN were prepared in high pressure autoclaves at 800 degrees C. Tetragonal crystals of the nitridocuprate, Sr6Cu3N5 crystallized in space group P4(2)mc (no. 105), a=8.649(1) Angstrom, c=7.325(1) Angstrom. This compound represents a new structure type characterized by a mixture of linear ((CuN2)-N-I)(5-) and unprecedented V-shaped ((Cu2N3)-N-I)(7-) nitridometallate anions. The crystal structure of SrCuN was confirmed by single crystal data to adopt the BaNiN structure type (Pnma (no. 62), a=9.045(2), b=13,234(3), c=5.388(1) Angstrom; Z=12).
