A NOTE ON CERTAIN GENERALIZATIONS OF THE MIDPOINT RULE

[摘要] In this paper we shall be concerned with some interesting generalizations of the so-called midpoint rule to weighted integrals introduced by Jagerman (1966) and Stetter (1968). First, the convergence of the Stetter rule on the class of the Riemann-integrable functions is proved, and numerical experiments are also carried out. Secondly, the introduction of a correction factor in order to accelerate the asymptotic rate of convergence is discussed.
