COMPUTING LOCAL PARAMETERS OF BIQUARTIC INTERPOLATORY SPLINES

[摘要] We present local representations of quartic and biquartic splines which use the function (or mean) values and the values (mean values) of the first derivatives. Continuity conditions are expressed as recurrence relations for these parameters. We complete such systems of equations with proper boundary conditions in an adequate reformulation. We then repeatedly use the one-dimensional algorithm obtained in an algorithm for the two-dimensional problem.
