MAKING THE DIFFERENCE INTERPOLATION METHOD FOR SPLINES MORE STABLE

[摘要] For the evaluation of a polynomial spline function on a set of equidistant points the difference interpolation method is an appropriate tool to carry out this task efficiently. The aim of this paper is to introduce a modification of the algorithm to make it more stable. The exciting connections with combinatorics may also be of some value for other applications.
