Spectral geometry and spontaneous symmetry breaking

[摘要] We present a new notion of geometric space, which, abandoning the central role played by points in standard geometry, allows a greater freedom in description of space-time at short scale. The proposed framework is sufficiently general to describe discrete spaces, Riemannian spaces, configuration spaces of quantum field theory and duals of discrete groups not necessarily commutative.
