STABILITY OF A CLASS OF NONUNIFORM RANDOM NUMBER GENERATORS

[摘要] It is shown that the asymptotic distribution function modulo 1 of z(n+1) = 2az(n)-b/z(n), z0 not-equal 0 (a2 - b < 0) does not change under ''slight'' perturbations of the parameters a and b. More precisely, the asymptotic distribution function of recurrences of this type with non-constant coefficients (a = a(n), b = b(n)) is determined. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
