APPROXIMATING SZASZ AND GAMMA OPERATORS BY BASKAKOV OPERATORS

[摘要] It is known that both Szasz and gamma operators are limits, in an appropriate sense, of Baskakov operators. In this paper, we obtain rates of convergence for these approximations. We also show that convergences are monotonic, if the involved function is convex. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
