[摘要] A non-lethal, murine knockout of fibulin-5 with features of autosomal recessive cutis laxa and marked defects in elastic fiber formation amplifies previous observations on the minimal role of the elastic component in acute, cutaneous wound healing. More demanding wound models or long-term studies may yet reveal how fibulin-5 and elastin impact the quality of repair.
