CATECHOL-O-METHYL TRANSFERASE IN CUTANEOUS INFLAMMATION

[摘要] In human non-atopic dermatitis the activity of COMT [catechol-o-methyltransferase], an enzyme involved in the metabolism of free and active catecholamines, is increased. The activated enzyme could cause abnormal destruction of local free catechoalmines which might result in an enhanced inflammatory reaction due to a sustained vasomotor imbalance.
