THE WAVE LENGTH EFFECT UPON ERYTHEMAL AND CARCINOGENIC RESPONSE IN PSORALEN TREATED MICE
[摘要] Albino mice exposed to short wave UV light (2537AU) evidenced erythemal damage in the ears and eyes, and approximately 20% of these animals developed tumors in these areas. With psoralen administration no alterations in the skin reactions to this short wave length were noted. Other albino mice were exposed to long wave length UV light (3200-4000 AU), and no changes were seen in their eyes or ears, nor were any tumors formed. However with administration of psoralen to these mice there resulted a rapid and severe erythemal reaction and a high tumor incidence in the eyes and ears.
