ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF EPIDERMAL METHYL-CHOLANTHRENE TUMORS IN MICE RECEIVING CORTISONE

[摘要] During 26 wks a greater number of mice developed epidermal tumors in response to externally applied methylcho-lanthrene, when cortisone was systemically administered by subcut. injns. during the period of treatment with the carcinogen than in a control group not receiving cortisone. This result was obtained in 2 expts.: One with benzene, the other with carbowax as a vehicle. Biopsy excisions apparently still further increased the incidence of tumor-development in the cortisone-treated mice.
