Stem cells in the hair follicle and interfollicular epidermis of mice following topical application of fluocinolone acetonide
[摘要] One of the major adverse reactions to chronic treatment with glucocorticoids is cutaneous atrophy followed by resistance to continued treatment. Chebotaev et al. report that keratinocytes from both the hair follicle bulge and interfollicular epidermis of mice express the glucocorticoid receptor. Unexpectedly, however, bulge keratinocytes appeared to develop resistance more slowly than interfollicular keratinocytes, and appeared not to contribute to the repair of the atrophic epithelium.
