CHRONICLED METASTASES IN A HAMSTER MELANOMA

[摘要] Fortner''s melanotic melanoma no. 1 was inoculated into the right hindfoot of 86 golden hamsters. Three, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after inoculation, groups of hamsters underwent amputations at the ipsilateral hindhip to determine when pulmonary metastases initially occur. On subsequent sacrifice of the hamsters, pulmonary metastases occurred initially within 14 days of tumor inoculation.
