STUDIES ON LOCALIZATION OF HISTIDINE-RICH PEPTIDE MATERIAL PRESENT IN EPIDERMIS OF NEWBORN RAT

[摘要] A method that permits the separation of the epidermis into a lower and an upper fraction was described. A radioactive fraction precipitable at pH 4.5 from material extracted with 0.1 N PCA [perchloric acid] was obtained from the upper cells of the epidermis of the newborn rat after TPB [tetraphenylboron] treatment. A similar fraction was obtained from total epidermis. The behavior of the histidine H3-material obtained from the TPBNa [sodium tetraphenylboron] upper cell fraction during isolation of the histidine-rich peptide is the same as the one obtained from total epidermis. Histidine-rich peptide material is present in the granular cells of the epidermis.
