CELLULAR RESPONSE TO SKIN ABRASION IN PSORIASIS

[摘要] Skin window studies were made on 10 healthy control subjects and 7 patients with chronic psoriasis. The cellular exudate was harvested on glass coverslips over a period of 48 hr. and differential counts were made. The type of the inflammatory cells as well as the time sequence which characterizes their appearance at the denuded areas was similar in normal and psoriatic subjects, both at involved and uninvolved skin areas. Topical application of crude homogenates of psoriatic scales onto the test sites did not influence the type of cells nor the rate at which the composition of the cell population changed. Abraded psoriatic lesions healed faster than similarly denuded areas of uninvolved skin.
