THE EXPERIMENTAL PRODUCTION OF EXTERNAL OTITIS IN MAN
[摘要] Clinical and histologic observations, were made on a variety of forms of otitis externa experimentally produced in man. Maceration leads to a reversible hot weather ear in susceptible subjects. Furthermore, it was shown experimentally that contact dermatitis of the ear canal may manifest itself solely as pruritus. In these instances there is a distinctive histologic picture of vesiculation of the wall of the hair follicle. This finding points up the diagnostic value of the ear canal biopsy.
