PERMEABILITY OF MAMMALIAN SKIN TO IONS
[摘要] The penetration of isotope-labelled ionic solutions through rabbit, pig and human skin has been measured in situ and in excised skin. The labelled ions were Na+, Br-, K+ and phosphate. When applied to unabraded skin as 155 mEq/1 aqueous solutions, these ions penetrated rabbit skin at 3-8 nEq/cm2min, pig skin at 0. 5-5 nEq/ cm2min and human skin at 0. 09-0. 16 nEq/cm2min. There were no significant differences between the penetration of different ions through the same skin. Excised skin was as permeable as skin in situ. In excised skin it was found that Fick''s law was obeyed, and that inversion of the skin did not affect penetration. These results are discussed relative to the skin penetration of covalent equeous solutes and organic liquids.
