THE VALUE OF MACKENZIES HAIR BRUSH TECHNIC IN THE ISOLATION OF T-MENTAGROPHYTES FROM CLINICALLY NORMAL GUINEA-PIGS

[摘要] A substantially higher number of isolates of Trichophyton mentagrophytes were obtained from clinically normal guinea-pigs using Mackenzie''s hair brush method as compared with the conventional method of plucking hairs. Spontaneous ringworm did not develop in any of the animals found to have latent infection with this dermatophyte.
