OXIDATIVE ENZYME ACTIVITY IN SKIN OF PATIENTS WITH PSORIASIS
[摘要] Alterations of oxidative enzyme activity were found in psoriatic lesions from 10 patients with psoriasis. The changes were characterized by intense glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and TPNH-diaphorase activity in the more superficial layers of the epidermis and in parakeratotic scales. In these areas there was decreased activity of succine dehydrogenase lactic dehydrogenase, and DPNH-diaphorase. In the deeper layers of the epidermis, increased activity of the latter 3 enzymes was found, with the greatest increase occurring in the depths of acanthotic zones. Healing of the lesions was marked by a return to the normal pattern of enzyme activity, although anatomic changes persisted.
