TOPICAL APPLICATION OF DIMETHYL SULFOXIDE (DMSO) TO SKIN OF GUINEA PIGS A HISTOPATHOLOGICAL STUDY

[摘要] Full-strength DMSO was applied to the skin of guinea pigs for an extended period of time, and the histopathological effects were observed. The pathological changes seen were compatible with an allergic contact dermatitis. Clinical changes seen in the treated skin sites were compatible with either an allergic contact dermatitis or primary irritant effect.
