ELECTRONMICROSCOPIC RADIOAUTOGRAPHY - THE MELANOSOME AS A SITE OF MELANOGENESIS IN NEOPLASTIC MELANOCYTES

[摘要] A recent technic of the electronmicroscopic radioautography of Harding-Passey melanoma cells revealed that an appreciable amount of dopa-2-C14 was incorporated into melanosomes at early and advanced stages of melanization. This observation indicates that the melanosome is one of the sites of melanin synthesis as well as of tyrosinase activity.
