SOME ASPECTS OF THE PHYSIOLOGY AND PATHOLOGY OF CORNIFICATION

[摘要] Keratohyalin seems to be a prokeratin which is converted into keratin. Various histologic aspects of the cornification and the intercellular cement-like substances are discussed; also the physiologic significance of vacuoles which are transformed into keratin. Horn bodies which are formed from vacuolated basal cells sometimes contain a virus which may be the inclusion bodies of warts.
