BACTERIAL FLORA OF THE NORMAL AND INFECTED SKIN - AN EVALUATION OF VARIOUS METHODS OF PERFORMING SKIN CULTURES
[摘要] Discussion of the methods and special technics used for obtaining material for bacteriologic studies from the skin. The best methods seemed to be cotton swabs placed in broth and incubated, or broth from an especially constructed cup inoculated directly on human blood agar. The bacterial flora of normal skin was relatively stable in the same individual, while that of abnormal skin was always different from the bacterial flora of normal skin.
