ENZYMES OF AMINO ACID METABOLISM IN NORMAL HUMAN SKIN .I. GLUTAMATE DEHYDROGENASE
[摘要] A sensitive and reproducible micro method for determination of GDH [glutamate dehydrogenase] in 0.5 to 5 ug dry weight of skin and skin appendages is described. GDH activity of epidermis is approximately the same as that of rabbit brain, being 0.2 moles/kg wet wt/hr. GDH activity of epidermis, dermis hair follicles, sebaceous gland and sweat glands are respectively 0.49, 0.04, 0.19, 0.17 and 0.41 moles/kg dry wt/hr. The GDH in skin may participate with 2 physiologically important roles: to link amino acid and carbohydrate metabolism and; to control ammonium ion concentration.
