IDENTIFICATION OF CONTACT ALLERGENS BY HUMAN ASSAY .I. A CRITIQUE OF STANDARD METHODS
[摘要] The adequacy of currently used predictive tests for contact allergens has been examined: the complete and incomplete Schwartz-Peck Test, the Draize repeated insult test and the Shelanski and Shelanski repeated insult test. The predictive tests have been tested by observing their performance with a series of known, moderately strong allergens. High insensitivity was demonstrated. In test groups of 200 subjects, not a single subject became demonstrably sensitized to penicillin G, streptomycin, neomycin, benzocaine, Furacin and butyn sulfate.
