INFLUENCE OF ANOXIA ON THE DEPILATION OF MOUSE HAIR WITH X-RAYS

[摘要] Local tissue anoxia was produced in the skin of C-57 mice by mechanical clamping and by injn. of epinephrine. When soft radiation was administered on the 12th day of the skin cycle, 2-3 times as much radiation was required for epilation of anoxic as compared with normal sites. Anoxia did not influence the dose necessary for permanent alopecia. The results are discussed in relation to the activated water concept of radiation effects.
