THE SERUM PROTEINS IN DISEASES OF CONNECTIVE TISSUE - AN ELECTROPHORETIC STUDY
[摘要] The serum proteins from patients with lupus erythematodes (L.E.), scleroderma, dermatomyositis, rheumatic fever and from normal individuals were analyzed by the Tiselius method of electrophoresis. The author found a decrease in serum albumin and an increase in serum gamma globulin in subacute and acute disseminated L.E., in diffuse scleroderma, and in rheumatic fever. In dermatomyositis no statistically significant increase in gamma globulin concn. was found, the only changes being a decrease in albumin and in total protein levels. The changes in chronic discoid L.E. and in circumscribed scleroderma were similar to those in disseminated forms of the disease.
