DNA SYNTHESIS IN HUMAN SKIN STUDIED IN VITRO BY AUTORADIOGRAPHY

[摘要] A method has been described for studying the synthesis of DNA in human skin, in vitro, by autoradiography. The technic has been applied to normal skin biopsy specimens and to specimens from eczematous and verrucous lesions. In the normal skin, DNA synthesis was observed in nuclei of the basal layers as well as the cells above the basal layer. The number of labeled cells was abnormally high in the verrucous and eczematous lesions.
