SORPTION OF AMINO ACIDS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES BY AMBERLITE ION EXCHANGE RESINS

[摘要] The simultaneous removal of cations and anions from solutions, is described. Ion exchange resins were used to remove amino acids in human perspiration. Ion exchange resins were found to be bacteriostatic for Staphylococcus aureus. and fungistatic for Monilia albicans. Allergenic extracts derived from 4 different pathogenic fungi were rendered inactive after filtering in a Seitz filter containing the resin. No arginase was found in human perspiration.
